Please tell me what the e.t.r. swich looks like!
My a/c compressor is cutting out too soon....... I looked it up on my service cd. But I can't find it.
Where is it and what does it look like? I did find one black sensor above the throttle pedal it has two wires going to it about 10-15 inches long. The sensor is straight with a 45 deg. bend in it it is in the airstream next to the evap. Is this it?

This is what the parts folks (Worldpac asoc.) list as the ETR. I always called this the temperature sensor, though.

This is what I've always called an E.T.R. (it is adjustable, despite what MB says) It's right by the expansion valve.
WorldPac (and all their vendor affiliates) calls this a temperature sensor, but the MB repair CD disagrees with them and calls it the ETR. The 1987 300SDL does not show job 83-650 (R&R of the ETR), but if you look at 1984 300SD you'll find job# 83-650 and much useful information. Hope this helps.
