imagine cleaning them... I'd spend an hour just cleaning the wheels or more than one.
If I had the time I would love to have an old style BBS RS in 16" for my W123. I think they look amazing on the W123. Even those I think are too hard to clean...

A year ago, while in Calgary Alberta, I saw an old 116 with what looked like aluminum or stainless steel wire rims, without the chrome-like shine and they had tasteful minimal looking centre caps. I stared at them as the car was at a red light next to me. Then the car turned. I never did get the guts to attract the drivers attention to ask what they were. They looked like the old Boranis that you see on high end Italian exotics. They sure looked nice. Not overly pimp-like at all. Very classy. Looked like traditional 60 spoke types.
Has anyone else seen these nice wheels? I sure would like to find a set for my old tank; sure would improve the stodgy looks and give it a sense of a classic old car. |
