A HAVE A TOYOTA 4 RUNNER 6 CYL 3 LITER 4 SPEED TRANY WHITH OVER DRIVE AND I WHANT TO CHANGE THE ENGINE WHITH A MERC DIESEL BUT TO KEEP MY OLD TRANY
NOW THE QUESTION IS : THE ENGINE WORK WITH GAS TRANY?
NOW I WHACH BOTH TRANY AND THEY CHANGE THE GEARS ABOUT THE SAME AND THE DIFERENCE IS THE ORIGINAL TOYOTA HAVE THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND CABLE FOR ASYSTING
DO YOU NOW ANYBODY IN THE NY AREA TO ASIST ME WHITH THIS PROBLEM?

You are asking a lot. Anything is possible if you have access to either a machine shop and/or lots of cash. An adaptor plate may be available to bolt the toyota bellhousing to the MB. Try Advance Adaptors. My guess is even with a bellhousing adaptor you are looking at a custom flywheel and clutch, custom linkage, motor mounts, throttle cable, exhaust, etc. Can it be done? Yes. Should it be done, ........ RT
