Fuel leak at hollow bolt above spin on filter -300SD

Having a problem since replacing the spin on fuel filter on my 1980 300SD. Fuel is leaking from around the head of the hollow bolt at the top of the housing for the spin on filter. Visited the local parts department of the MBZ dealer and purchased a new "O" ring and copper washer for the bolt to see it that would stop the leak. No luck! Still have fuel seeping out around the bolt head. Any thoughts about how to stop this leak?
