Another approach you may consider is to add a air/fan powered seat cover. I have a pair that I use for hot summer days on less-than-breathable leather seats for long trips. Works like a champ. The seat cover provides a mesh void for the air to flow thru the seat bottom and a separate set powers the seat back. It won't cool your car, but it will cool you.

Thanx ! .
That's very neat, I wonder how long it will last ? . In the 1960's I remember basic ventilated seats cushions like this, I could never afford one but I did get a few out of junkyards n the 1970's and they worked very well indeed as long as your vehicle had plenty of air blowing through it .

I've had mine for 2 years, summer use only. No problems so far. The fans are 1.5in small units, fairly robust. If you get the covers with fans only rather that heating/cooling gizmos, should last for a while.

Thread from another forum
https://bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/someone-posted-a-thread-about-putting-a-swap-cooler-in-his-vehicle-and-i-have-been-unable-to-find-it-so-i-am-posting-this.354381/#post-6575064 The below would work best because you can use ice or something else frozen line water bottles. You need one hole for a 12-volt auto van, or a USB fan and they show an elbow on it. While you need a hole or holes you don't need the elbow. When the ice melts I guess you have a swamp cooler. This is a rather largeish cooler, but they have smaller ones. When you are not using it even with the holes in it you can throw say a thick towel over it and the cooler with the insulation will preserve the ice longer than it would in some other containers. A small one should fit on the floor on the passenger side.

I have an Artic Pure Air which is a USB powered item. It is small swamp cooler. I recentily purchased 2 copies on eBay at a total cost of $12.48 each. They come with the USB cord but no power source.
They are about 1 cubic foot in size. I am sitting here using the artic air copy as a directional fan.
