Just before the clutch fan buries itself.......

in the hood, does it make a squeaky noise??Mine has had some play since I bought it 2 years ago(was in the PPI as needing replacement...oh yeah)but this past week its been noisy.I thought my alternator was loose again but I checked it.And NO I won't stop the fan with my hand to see if it does stop the noise But I'm trained in first aid if that's the only way (Hey Hon, can you just hold this while I start the engine )

Is the play in the clutch, or the water pump?

Mercy turtle?

I'll bet the benzs seats feels like joy unbounded compared to the POSs they put in those muscrats.
Drove a 67 from MI to CA. Cut out the area between the back seat and trunk and eliminated the rear seat. Put in a plywood shelf and my girl friend and I used it as a bed! Worked, but not good for makin whoppie...
But those seats were misery.

Hi Ed,I'll have to check the play a little more closely,I'll let you know.
Mercy turtle comes from an endearing term 'Mercy tiger'used to describe the 123(gas models I assume).
Yes those Mustang seats are hard to sit on after a while,it's for sale or I'll swap it for a 123

Wow, a 9 year old thread dealing with a "squeaky fan clutch".

I noticed today my 2 year old fan clutch (32K miles) bearing squeaks when I rotate it by hand. Can this be lubricated or is another fan clutch in my destiny?
