OM602 Injection Pump Seals
So running some level of biodiesel in my '91 300d was sure to start an issue with ip seals... honestly, I'm surprised it took 2 years (since purchase) for this to start happening. I bought a set of viton seals from a member here (and I can get the dv crush washers from just about anywhere). What I need are the large rectangular seals for the side and bottom of the ip. I can't seem to find those separate from the bosch kit.
Any vendors sell just those two seals?

I resealed my pump 6 months ago, I bought the kit but the side seal kept leaking. Apparently if the side cover is aluminum the seal in the kit will work, however if cover is mild steal like mine it needs a different seal. I ended up just making my own gasket for the side seal after several attempts to use the gasket supplied.

I have not see any pictures of the later model seals you are looking for but on mine the pan seal appears to be rectangular but it was in fact a large square O-ring at one time.
For the side cover seal there is no reason why you can't buy a sheet of rubber gasket material or rubberized cork and make one. Both are only exposed to engine oil. On the bottom pan unless the O-ring is cracked in two I don't see why carful use of silicon sealant on both sides of the O-ring would not seal it. When you remove the side cover look and see if the screw holes go all the way and are exposed to the Oil. If so use some sealant on the threads. Blue Loctite works OK but threads in holes and screws need to be degreased. If you find a Mercedes Parts sites that has the exploded views you can see if Mercedes has separate part numbers for the items that you want and when you have the part number you can find out of Mercedes Stocks them. A Bosch authorized fuel injection shop or on ebay would sell you a whole gasket kit which would have the crush washers. I have never seen your particular fuel injection pump but some inline fuel injection pumps have crush washers that have obviously less copper in them. On your fuel injection Pump is a plate that has the Bosch Number and the Mercedes part number. A fuel injection shop would need that. Don't confuse that with the similar number plate on the Governor. This is not a pic of your fuel injection pump but from Mercedes and you can see that the side cover and bottom pan have separate numbers indicating they might be sold as separate items.

In the picture the part within the blue outline is the Governor and it will have a separate number plate and a separate gasket kit.
The front portion is actually the fuel injection pump even though the whole thing is referred to as the fuel injection pump is going to have a separate gasket kit and a separate number plate. With Bosch the Governor, the Fuel Injection Pump and the Fuel Supply/Lift Pump (it has a number plate or that info is stamped into the body) all have separate gasket kits. Or there is also a complete kit for the Governor, Lift Pump and Fuel Injection Pump.
