Perhaps treating the window channels with spray silicone. Can reduce the current going through the widow switches. The window switches most likely fail when the current to the window motors becomes higher than the switch was designed to carry.

Heat dirt and general oxidation take their toll. Getting switches out of a junker for the rear windows. Are likely far less worn etc than the front ones. As time moves along used parts will get more difficult to find. For cars of this vintage.

If using commercial contact cleaner. Make sure it states safe for plastics. If plastic parts are in a switch.

Actually after all these years the door lift grease should be cleaned off and replaced as well. The regulator motors and switches you save may be your own. Lubricating the window channels can make a big difference as well.

I think the htm files could be edited to properly load the swf files. I've been too lazy/busy and simply open the swf file.
