83 300d newbie
Hi all Im the proud owner of w123 300d 1983 model. Im in Western Australia so i assume its Euro spec. Ive only had the car about 3 weeks have been looking around for awhile. It had a few issues but mostly sorted out now. First was terrible shake even in park, valve adjustment and new trans mount fixed that. Second couldnt open back door no lock knob and broken vac line, all fixed now. Third and worst was dreaded shifting problems and no kickdoen flaring etc, checked vac all good i must have m type ip as vcv and stuff looks a bit different to most ones i see on the net. Anyway i found vac diagram and noticed on my switchover valve on rocker cover my red/black and green/black lines were around the wrong way so i switched them around and presto shifts are perfect! Now just minor stuff like oil pressure gauge etc. Anyway i love the car already and lots of info on this forum so i thought id join!

Welcome!
They are great cars, the bad news is that they are totally addicting and it's too late, you are hooked.
