If you're gonna add super fandango wheels like that you need to make sure it hasn't got that monster truck look to it. (i.e. lower it)

IDK... Lowered would certainly make it look better... But I don't think they would clear the wheelhouse lowered...

I am now contemplating putting these on a 107, and stuffing an OM603 in there with my extra 5 speed...

You could get an S430 or S500 with an AMG package including those wheels. I don't know if it was a factory (doubt it) or dealer option.

What do those wheels weigh? I hope not a 10 lb per corner penalty. Nothing woke up my '87 300D like forged CLK wheels.

they say these new carbon wheels are 10 pounds, but so expensive. That will really help fuel mpgs.

I am with ' her ' .... I do not see that as an esthetic improvement...
and sure suspect that ride will be adversely affected...

I do believe that a Mercedes should look exactly like what it is; an old turd. It should look like something your math teacher drives to work every day. (my dad did in the 90's, and he was a teacher). For that, the bundt wheels are undefeated, and I absolutely adore the look of bundts (fun fact: In The Netherlands were I'm originally from, those rims were nicknamed "bottle cap" or "crown cork" rims).

But..... I'm actually kinda diggin' the look of those rims on that car though. The sidewalls are a little too slim for my taste, but the wheels do look cool. Of course, that's all a mood point as your daughter doesn't want them, but I still think it looks nice. It just goes well together with that particular car and the color.

Looks like a good deal if you got that at a pawn shop!

I'd never put them on Betsie though. She's an old turd, and as such rolls around on 14" bundts...

oh it's far from a moot point... I only stuck them on her car because it was easy in the driveway.

my car is parked tight, and covered... the wheels will likely go on my 85SD once I fix the VP / timing chain fail...

OR I may put it on one of my recently aquired 107's... once I diesel them of course...

and they are NOT thin sidewalls... 35/40 ar's are plenty of give... the weight though... WOW they are heavy!
