This needs to be RESEARCHED before non integer cuts are made...( like the l.5 coils mentioned )....
that is the first time since high school that I have used the word integer...
Some folks have done it with no ill effects. I ended up going with 1 coil cut after trying 1 1/2. I thought it was too low.

I believe you are referring to the fact that ' extra strong ' springs ( heftier wire size ) is available for ' third world country roads '... they are stronger but do not change the initial riding height of the car...
In the archives there may be pictures of parts of the pages which show the springs available ... or were available...

My 84 280e euro had tall springs on front which made it ride 2 to 3" higher in front than stock.....not sure if the rears were taller to or not. It also had a skidplate on it which may have been a factory install, and ventilated front rotors. I always thought they were springs from the 126 but not really sure.

No way you can install w126 front springs in a w123. Too wide. Rears will fit.
