W124 Diesel (1995) A/T Modulator
I have a bit of a strange request, after coming up with nothing at two dealers around these parts, as well as two MBZ specialist parts houses, I am trying here. I am trying to find the part number for the transmission modulator CAP (the white one-time-use cap), as I want to adjust my modulator to tighten the shifts up a bit, but the cap is holding me back.
I tried searching the web but came up empty. Anyone have the number by chance? My indy assured me it is a replaceable part that does not require an entirely new modulator, but I got the feeling my MB dealers would have it, but simply were not interested at all in helping me out. Thanks. |

I may be wrong, but I think it is black rubber, and should be able to be removed without ruining it. Maybe the factory cap is/was plastic, and the replacement is rubber?

On this car it's a white plastic cap, I've read about it a bit online and people talk about removing and replacing it, but no part numbers. I may call Pelican this weekend or next week (not sure if they're open Saturday), but it's a different style than those found on the older Benzes which were black rubber caps.
