Febi W124 Engine mounts?

I'm looking to replace the mounts on my '87 300D, and noticed the Febi mounts were ~$30 vs ~$70 for the others at Pelican.

Are they total crap? What is the recommended brand? I have heard Phoenix mentioned in other threads, but that seems to be for W123 cars.

I would not buy Febi.

Lemforder I believe is OEM. ~$60-70 it looks like.

I just looked and the various online dealers are priced between $85-114.

Ok, I'll go with those. I don't want to go cheap, but I don't want to get taken either.

Out of curiosity, what is the expected lifetime of OE engine mounts?

I can only speak in terms of my W124 and W201.

My W201 has 243K on the original mounts.

Records indicate my W124 (OM602) engine mounts were changed at 197K (before my ownership). I've got 113K on the replacements.

Interesting. I have 147k on my 300D, and it vibrates very noticeably while idling in neutral, more in drive and even more in reverse. The vibration goes away as soon as the engine speed is elevated to about 1000-1500.
