Brakes upgrades
Is it possible to install the larger ventalated rotors off of say, a 500SEL on my 84' 300D? I come from a roadracing background and nonventaled discs just don't do it for me. Are there any kits out there that would allow for bigger rotors? Aside from having a bracket custom milled I have run out of options. Thanks

I was thinking that it probably wouldn't consist of more than just new calipers and roter off of a 300SD. Would it just bolt up?
There's a lot of information on this board. This is great. |

Ya, it surprised me too. When I changed the pads in the front last year I was shocked to see solid rotors. I was used to seeing the brakes on my dads 76 450 sel. By the way, those are excelent brakes. The feel is just as good as some race cars I've driven.

I contemplated several brake upgrades. Many of the 190's had solid disks all the way around. I finally decided only to upgrade to EBC's slotted discs with their green stuff Kevlar pads. The upgrade has been more than noticable, it was a very cost effective upgrade as I could keep the existing calipers.
I would recommend these brake pads/discs to anyone.
