1987 300td wagon hitch measurements?

anyone have a hitch for a 1987 300td wagon that they could pull some measurements from? I want to make one myself. They look pretty simple, just want to see if anyone has the dimensions. Thanks

I've got a genuine euro hitch (brought it home from Italy as a checked bag), will try to get you some dimensions. Rather tough, because it is installed.

Do you have a copy of the factory installation guide? The pictures there-in will give you a great idea of where you can measure on your car to get the dimensions.

Steve Nervig's index includes a copy, under section 31 "Hitching Mechanism". Pages 20-22 have the pictures you need.

I am on an IPad, I was able to download the zip file and extract but most of the images are not showing, just the text. Can anyone save pages 20-22 and email them to me or post them to this site?

Hmmm, if you haven't properly set up the index, you may not be looking at the right thing.

The adobe pdf file you want is simply "31.2.pdf".

On my pc, the partial path to that file (for the old index I have downloaded) is:
Servicev2.1.1/Servicev2.1.1/W124/Index/Resources/31.2.pdf

Does that help? Can you find that file? It is large, 3.54MB.
