Heater Not Working
My 1982 MB 300SD is not given me hot air to my car cabin.
I touched the pipe that comes from engine to the heater core and it is hot but the air to the cabin compartment is not coming hot. Just want to know the sequence of the hot coolant from engine to the heat core. I don't know if the hot coolant will go to somewhere before travel to the heat core. I need help from someone from this forum in order to get my heat working. We are just in the beginning of the winter and I need to drive my MB everyday to work. Thanks to all.

I've recently became a MB owner and regretting it already.
Check the mono-valve or replace it. I'm not sure if this model has one or not. It is located by the firewall on passenger side between first and second firewall. |

Disconnect the wire from the mono valve, this will send it to full heat. If you now have heat, there is a problem in the CC system. If you don't, the problem is in the valve itself. Also verify that the cooling system is full.

usually it is the monovalve. The rebuild kit is about $15 from ********Az. Simple rebuild.

I am a owner of MB for more than 16 years and after learning about these cars I got amazed with the German engineering. MB is a easy cars to work with.
Thanks for your reply.

I was not sure if valve on or off was supposed to open hot coolant.
Thanks
