Any tricks for loosening ALDA screw?

I have an extra ALDA lying around....so, while I wait for my 27mm wrench to arrive (24mm and channel locks doesn't work on my 602), I thought I would see how easy it is to turn the set screw....this is my "practice ALDA." It won't budge. I think I have the right size screwdriver....although one with a slightly wider head would be ideal.

Should I just put some PB Blaster and wait? I've read some horror stories about folks damaging the screw....anyone discover any tricks that free it up?

Thanks.

I guess I need to tear into that "tin can" that surrounds the screw and nut and loosen the nut....I don't see any way to access that nut without destroying the tin can.

Got all the tin can stuff removed....now I have a nice ALDA with easily adjustable set screw.

Maybe some folks have a thin 10mm socket to avoid destruction of tin can....

you might have to use a impact driver if kroil or pblaster soaking don't work.
