I am running Allison Transynd fully synthetic heavy duty ATF. It is Dexron spec and then some. The heat this stuff can take and remain stable is amazing. This is what is running in almost all garbage trucks. Think of the constant stop and go, full throttle, full braking with heavy loads these trucks do. they almost never come in with failed transmissions. They also almost never come in for transmission service. In reality the oil is only ever getting replaced if a leak develops or some other repair is done. When I switched to it, my 3-4 flare improved. must have some seal swellers in it.

Let me thank the members that recommended Indie Jim Ellington. Jim
is a class act. He recently completed some extensive maintenance on my Mercedes Diesel. He works only by schedule. His prices are very reasonable and it seems no job is to Big for Jim. It is getting increasingly difficult to find an experienced Mercedes Diesel mechanic outside of a major metro area.
Jim is a bit isolated halfway between Macon and Savannah but he is very accommodating. Thanks again to Jim and the forum

In regards a new indie? How far is Soperton, GA. from Augusta? 'Cause there's an indie on-forum here name of ENGATWORK (Jim) that does indie work on MBs.

Glad I could help with that. One of these days I'm hoping to meet-up with Jim, too!
