I thought I would just keep the stock exhaust manifold (maybe port it some, down the road), and bolt on (or weld on) the turbo exhaust from the down pipe back. I don't know how to weld, so I'm pretty limited when it comes to fabrication.

On the subject of exhaust, my car has been smoking a lot more since I've been running B50. Is this normal? It just smokes more at start up/warm up. Is it just the fuel purging crap from my fuel system? I've heard that it kind of cleans things out, hence the need to keep fuel filters handy.

I sell cameras and camera gear for a portion of my income, which requires me to take a lot of pictures to test things out. Thought y'all might enjoy the Mercedes content from my last couple rolls.

Also, the guy who was going to buy up the panels from the red car never showed up, so it looks like the wagon is getting a red fender. If anyone has a colorful driver's side fender, post up (blue would be good). Would like to find green and yellow front doors.

Nice photography (and cars obviously)!

Your sedan reminds me of my first W124; if you didn't know it had been rolled, you couldn't tell/believe it.

Thanks!

The old wagon is getting a new fender and door tomorrow, maybe an exhaust too. Woo!

From sedans or wagons? I think I'd like a light blue driver's side fender, a gold rear driver's side door.

How much for a fender, door, hatch (Each, probably couldn't get all 3 in one trip)?

Anyone need/want some hubcaps? No paint on them, don't know if they were stripped or what. But I've got some bunt pans in the works.
Some came unpainted I always though. Perhaps they were dealer replacement ones? I often wondered myself. My 79 240d has unpainted ones.

Upon closer inspection, one of them has the center painted silver to color match the car. I don't think they're an original set though. took me a while to notice, I'm blind in one eye and the other doesn't work so well either.

Found out my local biodiesel company sells at a discounted rate in bulk, minimum order of 55 gallons. Looks like someone is going to be buying a barrel of fuel.

You can get drums really really cheaply from industrial companies and or recyclers. I've never paid more than $25, and that was for a like-new drum

If you have the room for it, a home heating fuel tank works great too. Sometimes people will pay you to lug them out of their basements.

Yeah, I need a drum and a pump. Would biofuel eat through plastic? There's a guy that sells plastic barrels in town. I think the recycling center sells steel barrels for like $10.

A high density polyethylene barrel should probably be okay. HDPE aka #2 plastic aka PE-HD you get the idea. IIRC that's the standard plastic drum material.

A cheap easy pump is to seal the drum, hook up an outlet tube with a dip tube that goes to the bottom of the barrel, and pump in some air into the top of the barrel to get things flowing.
