Ok, Thanks. You probably have to resize the pictures to get them to up load. I haven`t posted any pictures since I got this Win 7, with the Win XP I had it fugured out.
Problem with putting pictures on a Host site, and then linking them here is, when the Host site pictures account get deleated etc.... there goes the pictures that were in a thread here. Do some searches, and the pic that were there are just red X`s. lot of good that does. Seems that the URO parts are replacing every good German part, with low quality shtuf. been trying to find a Lemfoerder rear window gasket. either URO or Dealer is all that is available. even though Pilican parts showed Meyle and Lemfoerder. ![]() Charlie ![]()

I spoke to the head of a major Worldpac online parts seller who said that URO generally uses the lowest quality rubber and metal, and to avoid their parts.
I don't think that Carquest, owner of Worldpac and seller to independent shops, carries many URO parts for these cars. FWIW, I always received Lemforder or Febi/Bilstein parts from Carquest and never the option for URO. Asking some independent shops about comebacks due to poor quality parts would be a better idea. I'm thinking the online retailers cater to a DIY crowd that demands cheapo parts, not shops that don't want comebacks... These old car parts are being made at second-world price points anyway, since that's where the demand is. Parts factories in China or Germany have the same tooling and can equally produce garbage or good parts. Moral of the rant: you sometimes get what you pay for. |

Did the Classic center send the MB part? I would assume so. what did they charge for it?
The MB rear gasket on Pelican is $146. from the dealer, $154. our local dealer is also $154, but they have a whole sale site and list it for $123, but think that site is for shops etc. maybe I need to come up with a ficticious business name. ![]() Charlie ![]()
