diesel tune up
if i take my 300sd turbo to a dealer for a tune up what all should they do? surely adj valves and what else. and what should i expect to pay. would this be a one day thing? one dealer i called quoted 168.00 to adj valves included parts and labor. thanks Bob se,ks.

Bobco, I am not sure you are allowed to talk about taking your car to the dealer for service on this forum... This is a bunch of Diehard DIYers.... but with those wrenches, a little advise from the board and a new valve cover gasket you would probably be in pretty good shape.... LOL...Greg

Greetings Bobco,
If the dealer is wanting to charge you $168 for a valve adjustment and a new cover gasket, come on over to the house with a 12 pack and the new cover gasket and we'll be done in 45 minutes and your cost will be the $7.00 for the gasket and whatever the cost for the beer we drink, might get off cheaper going to the dealer, now that I think of it. Seriously though, just do it yourself. If you need manual help or pics , let me know and save yourself the bucks. Pride in MB ownership starts with doing it yourself. Charles
