Thumbs up

Remove the cruise servo... you can do five of the six easily. I forget which one irritated me, was number one or two. Car will start fine on five provided it is not super cold.

Also, your 603 has the block heater element installed factory... just buy the cord for $50 or whatever and make life easier too.

Sorry I forgot to reply sooner ... been a crazy day. Others already stepped in with an answer (looks like it's No. 2) but for future reference, here's an enlarged picture of the numbers:

That's cool that you're the original owner. My dad is the original owner of my 87 so I've had it from the start, too, sorta.

- Checked the resistance at the top ofthe #2 plug and found it to be OK. The wire is broken at the top of the plug.

I don't know if that's good or bad. There's not a lot of slack in the wire to allow crimping on a new lug in situ. Whatever repair you do has to allow 10 amps or so so it had better be a solid repair. You might buy some slack by releasing the glow wire conduit from the manifold. I know it shares a couple of bolts with the #4, #5 and/or #6 injector line clamps. Good luck!

- Thanks. I am going to hold off since the 5 good plugs is starting the car so far.

- Eventually will have to be done. Is there a Mercedes reference on glow plug replacment for the 603.961 engine?

My SDL started with down to 3 GP in 30+F temperature. 1, 3 & 4 were burnt. So one burnt out is nothing. I just replaced the faulty ones last night, took me about 2 hours with all the manifold and injector lines in place.
