1982 300CD heater fan same as 82 240D?
ARe they the same, anybody know?

I can't imagine it would be different. I know the 240 and the 300 D of that year are the same.

I think the wiring might be a bit different, i think the 300CD has a 2 prong plug, where as the 240D has two wires with male and female slide connectors. Other wise its the same fan.

W123 blower
Fitment into the under dash HVAC housing will be the same. Brand of blower motor, if you are pulling one from a self serve yard, may be different.
Most important thing is to install the same looking housing you already have. Meaning the newer blower housings have a snout like design. Whereas the older 77 to 80 models were round. As far as brands, I mostly see Siemans(mounted under the dash with ALL Philips screws). And Bosch(mounted with three 8mm bolts and one Philips screw). 1981 to 1985 W123 power plugs pretty much have a two prong male connector built into the blower housing with the female plug on the harness end. |
