Can you help me figure out the model # of these Bilsteins?
I am getting cold feet, because this is what I ordered last week:
Bilstein Shock Absorber - Front Part Number: W0133-1910414 Heavy Duty (The above model, by the way, happens to be the most expensive Bilstein available for the front of my car, a '79 240D.) And this is what I just got delivered: ![]() On the shocks, the label reads: 24-007047 B36-0704 and on the box, under "Part Number": 24-007047 BIL 00036706708 Is this a different shock than I ordered? It seems to be the case, but this being my first time purchasing a set of shocks, I'd like to hear your opinion before taking any action. Your feedback will be really appreciated. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to come up with a picture of what the W0133-1910414's I order should look like because all the places I checked for this model say "image is not vehicle specific" or "picture not available".

W0133-1910414 being the MB part number.
B36-0704(24-007047) being the Bilstein part number. The number starting 24 is either newer or and older part number of the same. I think newer. Its when they usually transition to a new numbering system. Looks good to me. They show up as "Touring Class" in some searches and do apply to your 79. Searching either set of numbers cross references the other.

And here the new Bilstein part number references the 240D.
So you should be good to go. Looks like you got the right ones. eshocks.com: Bilstein Shocks and Struts: 240D - Production Series Salon W123

Thank you so much, LYL.
The links you have posted confirm that the 24-007047/B36-0704 is suitable for my car model, but how do I know that the above Bilstein part number is the same shock as MB part number W0133-1910414? I don't see any place where it says so, for what I know I could have been shipped a less expensive model than what was advertised/ordered. Do you know of any place that says that the two are the same shock? I tried to google both numbers and am not coming up with anything confirming that...

Thank you so much, LYL, you have been greatly helpful
![]() By the way, the feature you described is found here: PeachParts FastLane Mercedes Parts Store On the other hand, in the search system at pelicanparts.com, this crossreferencing just did not work, at least in this case.
