1981 300D with 152,000 miles.
Before going to the shop I took a hard look at every suspension component. Everything was tight and leak free, but with alignments you never know as these shops always want you to spend big bucks replacing components. The car just had a minor pull to the right. Tire wear has been excellent: 42,000 miles on Dunlops with even wear all around.
To my surprise, the technician was able to align the car to specs. and didn't comment on any suspension component. Not bad for a car that has been on the road for more than 20 years. It's had a pampered existence since it belonged to rich folks in Palm Beach, Florida and was always serviced at the dealer until the 100,000 mile mark.
I've had much newer cars (other makes) and have always had trouble when it comes to alignments.
