does anyone know where to get a remote oil filter for a 240d or any one that makes them thank you

After you have a source of the adapter plate you can buy any Filter Head/Mount you want and pick use the Oil Filter for that mount.

This thread has info on the micron level of filtration of the stock 617 type filters.

When you find a Filter you think you would like to use you can find the Thread info and the microns of filtration and dimensions at the WIX site. Or at least it is info on what the comparable WIX filter would have.
