Parts prices in Canada
Since I bought my car 1 1/2 years ago I have been buying parts at a local parts supplier (Hey Ducati its Lo**co).Recently I needed some dealer only parts so I went to my local MB dealer in Surrey, the partsman there is a real nice guy(Brian)and warned me about others pricing policy. The dealer prices for common parts is considerably cheaper. Here is an example for my car -oil filter, fuel pre & main filter, and a turn signal bulb- Lo**co's price 58.73,Silver Star MB 34.13. These are net prices before taxes. Is this normal in most areas or what? The lite bulb was the most outrageous-1.61 at dealer vs 9.24 at Lo**co!!

I've found that parts prices for consumables for MB's are usually cheapest at MB dealers in Canada. Things like wiper-blades, bulbs, filters, and so on are usually much better priced at MB dealers.
Almost all dealers also install bulbs and wiper blades for free, unlike independants.
