Too bad the A/C systems in the 190's were worthless. This one's got power seats in it. I see the blue one in TX did too.

Lookin good! I live only about an hour away in Fairview (west of Nashville) I didn't figure there to be another 190D turbo owner in the nashville area. I'll post some pics of mine when I get a chance...rusty metal primered rocker panels and all...

Am I too late?

Am I late to the fun?
I got an automatic 87 190dt 2.5. Runs like a dream rides like a nightmare with my suspension but its getting worked on as i type.
Wouldn't trade it for the world.
Although a 5 speed wouldn't hurt. maybe I see a conversion in my future

got one too

Bought mine in November It has 430K Kms on it. Had no 4th gear but I had a good lo miles rebuilt trans from my 190d that I replaced with a 5 speed. It actually is nice with the automatic in it I am not tempted to change it. Mine is the goldish silver maybe palomino not sure. I suspect it is the only one here in the Vancouver area. Needs the usual hi miles stuff window motors etc but it is a nice daily driver to fix up. Unfortunatley it has bits of rust here and there so it will never be concours but I will do what I can to arrest this. It also needs a heater core which is a royal pain right now as it is too cold to work on it. It is just so much nicer to drive than my 190d. Original engine does not burn oil but needs injector nozzles which I am getting around to. I will keep it till it blows up. Cheers Dan

Not sure where else to put this, figure here. I have been lacking in posting any updates on my 87 190D Turbo. Got it painted. I stripped all the trim off and repainted all of the pieces. All 30 of them. Went back to the original colors. Added headlight wipers and low mileage tail lights. Replased both front doors and the front bumper cover. Did some custom interior mods. Added a temp meter above the HVAC controls to show the vent temp and added a digital volt meter in the upper console. Repainted instrument cluster needles. Also added door speakers by cutting holes and adding factory grills.

My visor looks like it's from a 123!
do you have any specifics on the upgrades you did?
it looks great.
oh. I've got a 190D 2.5TURBO also!

I just got one last week. It is supposed to be blue but has been painted black. When I get everything worked out she will go back to blue. She has black interior. Actually the one TurboDiezel posted is the one I bought!

Has anyone confirmed that only about 1000 of these were imported?

Thanks!

Black interior is pretty rare for an early car. Is it originally nautical blue?

From what I hav read there were about 1300 turbos imported in 87.
