Diesel Fuel Additive Label Scans
Here is a thread I suggest we use simply to post diesel fuel additive label scans for reference. We can keep this thread relatively short if we limit the posts on relative merits of the products to other threads.
Hope this helps - I have no particular interest in the products I am posting - and hope people post product label scans for products I've never even heard of. Ken300D |

Sta-Bil
www.goldeagle.com/sta-bil
This scan is from regular Sta-Bil. If you look at the faqs at http://www.goldeagle.com/sta-bil/faqs.htm they also mention a product known as "Diesel Sta-Bil" which is supposed to contain a "powerful microbicide" to kill algae growth. I've never seen the diesel version before - don't get to many marine or tractor dealerships. Last edited by Ken300D; 12-23-2001 at 08:33 PM. |

No Scan But!
http://www.algae-x.net/Algae-x%20Binder/LGX%20Binder%2017.htm
This stuff is used by many owners/operators of diesel powered sport fishing boats in that I knew when I lived and worked in Florida. Almost all swore by the additive and most used the magnetic device also. The price for the additive 8 oz. for $25.00 treats 320 gal. = $1.56 per 20 gal. tank full. |

Also no scan but here is another one.
http://www.gunk.com/autocat3.asp?pic=M7132 I bought three gallons of this stuff at the Farm Fleet closeout for $6 per gallon. Each gallon of additive treats 500 gallons of diesel fuel. |

Redline Diesel Fuel Catalyst
Note that the product claims to help remove water accumulation in the fuel system, as does the Power Service additive shown above.
It takes a bit of work to scan a round bottle label on a flat-bed scanner! Ken300D |

OK , I'm Game.
Here's one for Howes Lubricator, dicussed elsewhere. Costs about $10 US for 2 quarts in high volume places like truck stops but double that in some locations. Says it treats up to 2600 litres ( 570 gal. ) Suggests tripling dosages first few times and then back to maintenance levels after that. I used it lots on a 6.9 litre deisel and though it's always hard to tell, I think it smoothed things out. Local tow operators swear by it. |

It might make more sense to link or otherwise include the MSDS with the real chemical names.
