1981 300SD W126 front suspension question
Just picked up the car and it has a clunk when coming to a stop. I looked underneath and there is obvious movement and noise from the mounting point of the rods that tie the front suspension to the subframe. ( I think it's called a guide rod?)
Is there an adjustment to this rod (the end is threaded and appears to have an adjustment feature) or do I need new parts? The rod moves quite a bit when coming to a stop. Sorry if the info is sketchy. I looked at the parts for sale section and couldn't find anything I recognized in pictures. I also need some parts for the car to make it right but will post in "parts" when I have a better feel for my needs. Thanks in advance.

Changing the adjustment will also change your front end alignment and it will not remove the thump.
