Does anyone know the correct number
I'm looking for the correct number for the throwout bearing for my 617. Not the Mercedes number as much as the bearing manufacturers number. The new one I bought is an SKF, but I can't read the number because the Mercedes part number tape covers it. Center hole is correct. The one that came out of the 240D is about a mm bigger than what the 617 will take. If no one can come up with the correct number then I shall have to hit the bearing companies Monday and see if I can find it.

What year is your 617? I think I have both bearings in my shop.

Thanks Steve
I should have put that in especially when switching engines into other chassis. The engine is a 617 turbo, model year is 1985. Mercedes part number for the 240D is 115 980 01 15 and there are some small numbers on the box which I think are manufacturer numbers. They are 152F, 829, 2WLH and 1812.
