Fixed three of their cars so far, to do: 300D head gasket, ford truck steering column + gearbox.
Fixed a dead ford truck in 5 minets.
I am also repairing a 1989 volvo 240DL for a friend, crank position sensor, waiting for part to arrive.

I will be in DFW within 48 hours. "timer running"

You have my number, if you want me to stop by to visit.

update

It is as advertised.

Issues:

I removed the redneck folding queen size box spring and cinder block supports.

The alternator belt is MIA, new belt in my tool bag to install next trip.

Power steering belt was worn to 4 MM almost round profile, new belt installed.

Note: the coolant pump is driven by two dedicated fat B belts from the crank shaft.

The engine ground strap is separated from the engine side.

Roof A/C not working, but appears repairable.

The key is missing at the moment, may be forced to hot-wire the ignition or install a domestic switch.

New license plate installed, but I have not heard it run yet.

I plan to be driving it Monday.

Wow!

It sounds like a project that would be overly daunting for any one with less skill than yourself.

Good luck with it!

The new alternator belt belt is installed.

The engine ground strap is repaired, FYI it has three.

I carved plastic keys , each one is good once

New license plate installed, but I have not heard it run yet.

I drove it to Mount Vernon TX last night.

The right front the air line vibrated off the valve fitting, stopped to repair/re-mount.

The engine cover lock clips are broken = engine compartment heat on feet + massive noise issue.

Muffler broke 75 miles out of Dallas.

Maximum speed 55 MPH dropping to 40 on serious hills = hazard lights all the way.

The valves are in dire need of adjustment.
FYI data:
* Intake 0.20
* Exhaust 0.30

Instruments not working:
* Fuel gauge, keeping it full.
* Temperature gauge, (using my infrared gauge confirmed 80c at every stop
).
* Oil pressure gauge, (aftermarket installed for safety).

Insulating the doghouse with the foam/aluminum foil/lead(?) insulation from JC Whitney did make a difference in my 409d. Can't say it became quiet though.
