I have vanity plates on my cars.

Here's the CD and TD:

I ordered the plate for the SDL a few weeks ago and I'm waiting to get it back to see if I got 300SDL or 1986SDL.

Ditto, not only law enforcement, there are other drivers on the road with attitudes that only need a slight spark to cause them to do something stupid. Personally, I would avoid anything, such as "RUDEBOY".

If you're going to go with personalized, stick with something you and only a few other "informed insiders" understand what it means.

I was able to obtain last July, Non personalized plates for my Mercedes *AND* '08 Subaru Outback when they came out, in the normal alphanumeric sequence in Santa Barbara, the only problem being was that they ONLY could be picked up at the DMV field office from where they were issued.

For the 2009 Mercury Grand Marquis maybe I can snag "6MGM009" which should issue in a couple of months.

For winnmutt I would suggest a personalized plate like one I saw on a Rolls Royce in San Francisco once:

Heck I like mine ;>P

What's up with all the anti-personal plate stuff? I think they are pretty cool.
I love to figure out the more obscure ones. I saw a black Jeep in town that had BAABAAH. That made me spit coffee all over myself laughing.

Like it or not, these plates tend to have a certain "stigma."
