MB made improvements throughout the years, some years more than others.
24 is good, disconnected lines won't hold anything by definition. The black line going to the tranny should hold vac for a few minutes.
You'll have to ask Gene wilder about some of the hook ups, ha-ha.

This is an OLD Post and one of my first from 2 years ago, but I FINALLY got around to going through my entire vacuum system. After following every vacuum line for the central lock system I traced my leak down to 2 broken lines in the rear hatch where the hatch is connected to the car. I pulled up assorted pics that everyone left for me here and links and the car shuts off and shifts smoothly. The AC system is still disconnected because there's something keeping it from working and its too much bother for me. Thanks for the help!! I had so much fun locking and unlocking my doors on the way home. I felt like a kid.
