Back to the AAZs .... anyone in Canada see these ???
As for mechanical cleaning methods, e.g., sandblasting, wire wheels, et cet., I strongly suggest AGAINST doing this. Chemicals (non-acids and not caustic sodas) and ultra sonic cleaning is the way to go, contrary to the "GSM" or anything else funny out there. In the long run, you will get a much cleaner product and invest less time and avoid other issues. Obviously, if you have junk packed in there, bore cleaning wire brushes may be your last resort. |

What is the attraction to these Greazer? Are they more efficient? Forgive me, I am just learning about Diesels in general.

See pic.
The kit is for cleaning the tiny passages in the DNO SD 240 and 240/ and the seating inside of the bore of the Nozzle. Cleaning passages OK. Cleaning the Seating area seldom works because it is worn from the Pintle Needle beating on it, particles get beat between the seat and the Pintle and the high pressure fuel errodes the seating area. The Steel Scrapers in the kit or the MS Kit cannot fix those.

These were all the craze a few years ago. Everybody wanted a set, and then the craze died down. I want to tinker with them to see how they perform with some nozzles I have which flow a lot more fuel. I probably should have got a set a few years ago when they were floating around everywhere. Not really sure why they turned cold all of a sudden. |
