Don just send proof of ownership to the classic center at MBUSA and they will send you a copy of the original window sticker. It's been a while since I looked at mine for the 86 but think the base was $53K. It's free and they even FedEx'd it to me

Just like the mileage awards, and such. All that is handled by the classic center.

The original window sticker was folded up inside the owners manual of my '95 E300D, it was just over $41k....

53K is about right. We used to have a window sticker for our 87 300SDL before we gave it to the current owner with the sale of it.

Yeah, mine was $41k. To think that you can buy a new one for the same price! (or at least close to it)

Just goes to show how quality comes at a cost.

That's easy! License it in Michigan and they will charge tax based on the original list price, ... EVERY YEAR!

That works in your favor only as you buy progressively older and older cars. Ford Model A should be cheap.

From the '70s older goes on weight.

An antique or classic here is 25years old, so an '84 would go on collector plates anyway (great deal in comparison).

No surprise this state is losing people and businesses fast.
