A few minutes ago I was dusting my car.... again. The pollen level here is like off the charts and midnight blue really shows the pollen. But anyways. The windshield is not original nor official Mercedes Glass. Fine by me but who ever did the job sucked at cleaning since I found a ton of glass crap in the drain areas

did I also mention I hate pollen since I cannot even go outside for longer than 10 minutes before I start to have breathing issues and want to die!

I don't have any alergies but I hate it just as much as you. Pollen is #1 dirtying agent in the spring and even summer time. Do you literally dust it or do you do what I do? (Break out the soap and water every time)

I've never needed a 2nd coat. The meguiars holds from spring until the end of fall...at which point I do it again to get her through the winter.

Did you wax the wheels as well? (Makes cleaning the brake dust sooooo much easier)

yep wheels were waxed.

I duno man.. a second coat of swissvax onyx will really give the blue a really deep shine. My friend gave me just enough for a second coat. The next waxing in a month will have to be with some Poor Boy's wax. Good stuff

Glass crap in the drain area? Did you pull the plastic cowl off under the wipers?

The glass is the same brand that Volvo uses from the factory.

yeah but it doesn't have the mercedes symbol on the glass

the little pockets on either side of the lower windshield has a good amount of glass crap in there. Who ever did the glass for you needs to be better at cleaning up

^^Look closely at the glass the new symbols are hard to see.

The insurance replaced my rear window about 4 years ago and at first I thought it was a aftermarket piece of glass.

I don't think you can get the glass with the MB star on it anymore, thats direct from the dealer and big bucks.

Tell your insurance company its broke and get another. Sekurit(sp?) is OE, you can still get those.

I recently learned that MB stopped making their own glass a number of years ago and contract it out....the figured there's no reason to make their own glass, since...glass is glass....they can just give the specs to a supplier. OEM vehicle glass still has a star.....but its not really "made by MB"....replacement glass does not have the star.

I always thought the 2 tone looked better. Its a big car, breaking it up makes it look smaller.
