That car's beyond totalled. The airbags, sensor and dash with labor would probably total it, the front end damage would put it double the book value, ... still a great parts car.

Wasn't that car in the cars for sale forum sometime back?

Maybe minor means the driver was below legal driving age.

Attached pic is of my 93 SD which was totalled for the damage you see plus a deployed passenger airbag that tore the dash and cracked the windshield. IIRC the insurance estimate was over $8K. It's running again in SoCal.

1500 is worth it for the engine. You could get another thousand in part on top of that at least.

Although I agree, you'd have to live nearby, consider your time free, and not mind using the space and taking the risk to part the car. Parting cars is a business and I see cars in better shape sell here at insurance auctions for under a grand.
