First try tightening to plug ever so slightly, sometimes a little more torque will brak a bond. If that does not work, put a piece of paper shop clith around the drain hex and tap the wrench on over it using a light hammer, then pull with a slow even motion.

Go to napa/autozone/discount auto your local parts shop get a replacement about $5.00. then vice grips to get the old stripped one off. no foul. It happens. They do wear.

Nah, use some bolt grips, (unable to upload pic) good time to get more tools, if you don't already have, to remove the bolt, be sure to have a new one first, tho. If you're able, get the old bolt out, and take to NAPA, so they can measure.

Get something to suck the oil out of the dipstick tube and leave the plug alone.

lock them on tight, use two hands to close the lock then tap lightly with a rubber mallet. . ive used it before in similar situations. . Then get rid of your socket sent and replace it with a higher quality set (assessing fault to the socket) the extra you spend on quality tools will pay for its self in saved headache in the long run. . .

Got it off....So how much oil should I put back in and here's the stupid question.....where do I put it. I'm guessing big black cap on valve cover but I thought I'd double check. Thanks!

OHHHH.. That is SO WRONG!!! Depending on the year about 7 quarts (Not quite 2 gallons) and yes the big black cap on the valve cover to add oil. I'd put in 1 Gal check the dip stick. Keep adding till it shows full on the dip stick. DON'T OVER FILL. Did you change the filter also? If you show full on the dip stick. Start engine. Check oil pressure to come up should come up with in 30 seconds. If not... Check under car to see if there is a big puddle of oil. You forgot to put in the plug in or the O ring on top of the oil filter canister. Start over.... Shut engine off. Wait a few minutes check dipstick and top off as necessary. Pat your self on the back for a job well done.

Yeah I did the oil filter. I'll try a gallon. What should the oil pressure ideally read on the gauge? Thanks

at idle the MB manual it can be as low as .3 bar at idle my 92 300D 2.5 is at 1 Bar.
If you tell me the year I can check the manual and let you know how much oil.
