Lets talk about injectors

I know there are a few different options for injectors in the OM61x. What are the options for the NA and Turbo engines? I know Bosio makes some for these engines but that is special about them? Im personally looking for a mild performance upgrade for my otherwise stock '85 OM617 turbo. A little smoke at high throttle is acceptable.

Please post all resonses in this thread as it is in the appropriate subforum: Injectors thread...

I can find nothing if use in that sub forum regarding injectors. The thread about Giles doing performance work on MB injection pumps is very exciting though!!!!

The Bosio nozzles are the only things that I have herd of for extra performance from the injectors. From what I have read people say the fell a differance after installing them. Do a Google internet type search and there is more info. If you go to the official site (just searca Basio injectors) you need to register to view the nozzle prices which a year ago were around $37 each.

Different nozzles should not make any more power. Perhaps getting back to the factory spray pattern is where the difference is. You need to get more fuel, among other things to increase power.

Worn injectors will not let the engine make the power it originally had. The Bozio nozzles have a very precise spray pattern due to high quality design and manufacturing. This consistent spray pattern allows all of the cylinders to operate equally and brings the power up to where it should be.

What kind of power loss might you have because of worn injector nozzles? 5%, 10%?
