Picture Request: w123 euros (double circle type) a la europe diesels
Hello,
I have gas car euro lights (flat lense (rectangular h4 reflector)). I think US headlights look horrible (IN my opinion, please no flames), but Im willing to use them to put in my Xenarc 6024 7inch round kit. But I was thinking, what about those european diesel euro headlights, the ones with the two circles. Anyone have detailed pictures with the lens off? There's no such thing as "gas" lights and "diesel" lights. The round and square Euros were used on both gas and diesel models.

actually.. IIRC the square lights only went on the coupes and some of the late wagons

my 83 w123 euro has squares with the headlight wipers so i know theyre stock.

I have one of the earlier models which actually used candles, rather than gas lights, or those new-fangled 'lectric ones.

That back housing comes off, a couple of clips, and some screws, to reveal the back side where you remove the bulb, probably an H-4.

Thanks for those pictures. That last picture is what I needed to know. So the reflector bolts in that way? It looks like the backside of a US headlight?

Those are they, but I really want pictures with the lenses off and the back cover off. What does the back look like? If someone already has pictures that would be best. I dont want you to remove them and do that on my account.

Here ya go. The back access plate is held in place with a C shaped spring. One was missing on the lights I got so I made one out of piano wire. The blub is held in with the spring clip you see in the first picture.
Thanks to USPS you can see what the front looks like with out the lens.
