Question What glue to use for 300D sun visors?

Folks, do you have any suggestion as to what glue or adhesive to use to glue back in my plastic sunvisor mirror assembly? With the hot Houston, TX summers, the adhesive holding my lighted mirror assembly into the sunvisors has loosened up and the passenger's side mirror assembly will just fall out if I'm not careful. I figure while the temperature is bearable, now would be a good time to re-glue them.
Thanks so much in advance for your help!

My first thought would be the same heavy-duty 3M weatherstrip adhesive that I and others have used for gluing hood pads. I think the number is 8090 and it comes in large spray cans for $20 or so. You'd have to do some masking of the sun visor so you wouldn't get glue all over but it shouldn't be too bad a project.

i used some Loctite brand i thiink its called household or general purpose adhesive sealant, white silicone looking stuff put it several spots in the visor, pressed the mirror assy in by hand then clamped the whole visor assy between 2 pieces of plywood with "C" clamps and left it overnight. So far so good but its only been a couple of months. My $.02 Don

JB Weld is probably the best multi-purpose adhesive with the necessary thermal properties needed in automotive usages. Especially in the heat of South Texas. Good luck.

Lightbulb Goop all purpose adhesive

Goop all purpose adhesive is the best I have found to work unlike expected....believe me, I have used this glue to stop engine oil leaks (valve covers, oil pans, etc.) on many cars, and I would strongly recommend it. Goop can be purchased at Wal-Mart and is being carried by advance and autozone as well.

JB is fine but for the interior, Goop far exceeds most adhesives since it actually bonds and is flexible under hot or cold temps.

This glue will work excellent on all interior parts of your Mercedes, it sure has worked well for mine. Check it out, I bet you will like it.
