I second. Methanol greatly cools the induction air as it vaporizes. Same principle air conditioning works by. Cooler air is more dense and you get a greater effective air charge into the combustion chamber, same principle as super charging. Lower induction air temps also reduce detonation. More power, more expense, but reduced engine life. Alcohols are corrosive also.

ah but propane fumigation is another choice, its clean burning and it also cleans up the burn.

1981 240d (engine donor 1983 240d) recently rebuilt engine hurray! - No more.. fought a tree and the tree won.

pearl black 1983 240d 4speed (Converted!@$$%) atleast the tranny was rebuilt.
