Why does my sun roof puff up?
When I open the sun roof and then get on the highway, the lining puffs out and looks like it wants to detach itself from the metal sun roof. I don't *think* it did this before...I removed the liner so that I could lubricate the locking mechanism (its a manual sun roof), and I put it back the same way it came off. It just snaps in place along the leading edge. Could I have re-installed it incorrectly? I looks fine when I examine the leading edge that seems to catch all the air, but I really don't think it used to puff up like that.
Anyone have the same experience? Thanks, -Geoff

Aren't there some adhesive strips along the liner? When I got my manual sunroof parts I had to peel off quite a bit of it.

Hmm...maybe I do remember some tape flaking off, there wasn't enough to make trouble for me to get the liner off though. I think I'm going to have to take it off again to investigate, so I'll try putting some double-stick tape up there when I put it on again.
Did you replace the adhesive on yours? What did you use? Thanks, -Geoff

I think Forced is right. I have seen where the headliner has come lose from the adhesive, and it starts to billow out. I am seeing that in one of my 300Ds
