Proper amperages for fuse box?

I'm having electrical issues (no exterior lights) and I'm just going to replace all of the fuses, most are corroded
I was planning to get copper ceramic fuses instead of glass as I've heard the glass ones blow too easily.

The info on the back of the fuse box cover doesn't seem to describe the amperage value though. (If it does, I'm blind and this post should be disregarded). So what are the proper amperage values for the fuses on an 83 240D?

Its explained there on the card in the fuse box cover.
white dot=8 amp
red dot=16 amp
blue dot=25amp

Your right, copper ceramic fuses are best

I just did this job today. Had the fuses sitting in my trunk for a few months.. On mine, theres a black circle, white circle, and a square. If I remeber correctly,
square = white fuse
white circle = red fuse
black circle = blue fuse

The fuses I used were brass, I think.. don't know where to get the copper ones, but I don't think brass reacts with copper like the aluminum ones do.

To expand on this, since there seems to be a couple varieties there, look at your fuse card on the cover, next to each description in the same box you will see an emblem of sorts, a circle or square or triangle, look at the bottom of your card, it will have a legend key, match the symbols and there's your rating.
