rough starting after bosio nozzles

I just replaced my injector nozzles with new bosio models and now when I start the car it is rough. When it warms up the car runs better, but it seems like it has a hint of a miss. Did I put together an injector wrong? This is the only mod I performed and it ran fine prior to this. Also the problem is really evident when the car is floored and about to shift into 4th gear. It really stumbles and almost does not want to shift. It is not a vacuum problem though. As I have fixed that problem and it shifts excellent before that.

At idle, crack each metal fuel line in turn until you find which inj is causing the problem. Reassemble that inj. If still runs rough, send that one (or better yet ALL) out to have its spray pattern checked and pop pressure balanced at an injector shop.

New nozzles is half the job, balancing is the other half.

My 75 y/o father gets the title Mr & Sir, not me.

Try searching for a Bosch service center, an "old" MB indie mech or a big rig injection shop close to you.

Also, put your location and year/model in your "signature" (under User CP), helps us help you better.

Can also serach here. Try "pop testing".

Okay, after running the car around a little bit today, it idles better than before with the stock nozzles, an seems to have a somewhat better pickup. I still have the issue though when floored and about to shift into high gear of sputtering. It is only evident when going from third to fourth at about 55 mph. The car pulls excellent all the way to this point. Should I let go and see if it fixes itself, or pull injectors and have them balanced and pop tested as was recommended to me last night. I have searched bosio nozzles and read that some people's cars ran rougher after initial install, only to have it improve after several hundred miles. Any help would be appreciated as always guys.

also what I thought was a miss last night apparently wasn't, as I took the fuel pressure off each injector one at a time this evening and noticed a definate idle change with every cylinder. So I guess she is firing on all 5.

Change the fuel filters recently? Bubble in the prefilter? Check your linkage as well. Try cracking the lines and running the engine a little each time. Either way they should have been poptested. Changing needles may have changed the pop pressure a bit.

Don't the nozzles need about 500-1000 run in miles on them before poptesting?

well you could click on the User CP link at the top of the page, and edit the info into your signature, you can add your location as well.
