W116 dash pad removal? How hard?

I read the DIY of removing the W123 dash and it was

I need to replace the dash pad since mine is all cracked. My center vents also don't work so I'd like to fix those or just wire it open when I'm in there.

Can anyone chime in on how hard this is compared to the W123?

Thanks!

It is as laborious as the removal of the dash in a 123. but all in all not that hard.
The scary part is not really having to remove the central console and the dash. But what you want to do after. The air box you will find under that dash is downright scarry. And actually take the most part of the 8 hours for R/R that you will find in repair manuals.

The console and dash can be removed in 45 minutes easily
