Need help finding a Lift Pump, OM616

Hi Guys,
I am looking for a lift pump (hand feed pump) for my Mercedes 507D camper/bus, engine OM616, but I am having problems.
Actually all I need are the small brass diaphragms inside, does anyone know where I could either get the diaphragms or which equivalent lift pump would fit my engine.
Here are some pictures, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you can't find the part in the BUY PARTS section then give Phil a call.

www.eurocarparts.co.uk.
Go to the commercials section. If you call, talk to Patrick, he takes care of exports.
We want to know more about your bus. Top speed? How does it handle big mountains?

Now that i see your pictures, I think the replacement pump available for any 616 from BuyParts at the top of this page should work.

But dammit, I was looking for pictures of the van!

Ah Kerry, so you want to know how the bus handles mountains eh?
Well a couple of years ago we had her around France, Andorra and Spain, (I am from Scotland btw) and to get to Andorra we had to cross the Pyrenees.
Once the bus gets warmed up on a motorway she is great and just keeps motoring on albeit at 67 mph, which is fine when you are touring, but going up hills is a different matter altogether and going up the pyrenees we managed a top speed of almost 15mph! I almost felt sorry for the people behind me on those windy mountain roads, but what can you do?

Here are a couple of pictures of the bus, I could not take any from the front because she is blocked in, I hope you like her although she could do with a make over soon.

Thanks again for the info.

Thanks. Yes I like her. I'll be looking for another motorhome in Europe one of these days. I had the 307d over there for about 3 years. It travelled at about those same speeds.
Where are you in Scotland? I took a student group over to Scotland last summer and will probably be doing it again next summer.

Hi Kerry, I am glad you like her.
I am from near Jedburgh (where Mary Queen of Scots was held for a while) which is just a few miles from the border with England, it is also quite hilly with windy roads around here so the driving in the bus can be a bit of an effort at times, but still fun.
BTW I could not find what I was looking for from eurocar parts and for some reason I cannot view the catologue from here?

Did you call Eurocarparts? When I needed parts for my 307d over there, they were very helpful in supplying them on the phone. According to Fastlane (above) the primer pump for the 616 and 617 are identical part numbers. I would think Eurocarparts would have them available.

Hi Kerry, I have not had the chance to call eurocarparts yet as it is too late at the moment over here, I will give them a call tomorrow.
I did not know that the 616 and the 617 were identical part numbers, that is a great help, thanks. (although they still did not have the 617 part on the website either)

Ps, I forgot to ask, where abouts in Scotland will you be visiting this summer?

Hmm,your Bosch dealer should have them...
Have a look at page 8:
http://www.melasiauto.ee/iedit/iedit/file/diesel_08_05.pdf
My fintail has them:

and I`m sure they`re used on w115 and early 123`s as well as countless light-duty trucks.
However, the lift pump fp/k 22 M is not applicable to your model.
Seems like those valves are also obtainable thru small idependent diesel parts producers/suppliers. Anyway,Boschs should have them by any means.
Do a google search with the number.
For example,those guys have them:
http://www.ts-server24.de/ats/default.asp 19 euros.
No need to replace a working lift pump just because of the two valves. i just cleaned mine ,now works fine.Did not need to chance the valves.
Good luck!
