right tail light is mushed in, I want to try to pop it back out. thinking about a bottle jack against a 4x4 in the trunk. anybody ever done this successfully?
it's an 85 300D and the dent just missed the bumper. as soon as I get this one home, I will post pics.

I haven't done it on a 300D, but have done a few other cars. As for a bottle jack is concerned, not sure.. But this PortaPower works really well.

I used to deliver pizzas, and one day I was delivering to a hotel when I backed into a guy's rented Impala. So I went to the lobby to ask who's car it was and give them my insurance info. Right after I asked, this large man walks up to me and says, "You's a honest fellow, so I gonna help you out." So He walks out to the car with me, crawls under it and pops out the dent I had made. Needless to say, I was relieved. But this was also on a new Impala with a fiberglass bumber, so I'm not sure how well it would work on an older car. I suppose you could still do it if you find a way to push hard enough.

Hello

I pushed out a dent on my 1981 300SD with a bottle jack and some boards.
But it was in the middle of the truck where the license plate goes.

It worked well but it was tight to get into the outer skin since there was and inside skin to deal with. The walls of the truck area are doubled and you have to push on the outside 1 from within. There was some access areas for me to work with but it was tight. I simply inserted a thin board inside the hole and pushed against it.

That will buff out....
Don't even bother pulling the dent out, just buff it, and hit it with a bit of touch up paint. What's the blue thing you are towing with it? Is that a ? aauumm? Hmmm?
Well, try a local detail shop. Just go there ask them to see if they can buff it out for you. Just make sure you run it throught the car wash before going there, to drop it off.
Whatever you do though.... Do not smile, and do not laugh while talking to them.
All of this, of course, if the light piece of board thing doesn't work...lol

Umm, you DID remember to pull back on the reverser lever didnt you?lol

Ohhhh wait...thats the rare 4wd attachment option package...nevermind...

VStech, It depends on what it looks like and where exactly it is as to the right approach, I'd have to see it to really know. Porta powers and stud guns are very nice tools to have on these occasions,lol.

That won't fit in the trunk, atleast if you open the trunk you'll have a better shot anyways. If it does, though don't think you'll be able to close it.
