Pull Them Or Not - W210 Glow Plugs

OK - first of all I understand that I am crazy. You don't need to remind me. :-)

Now - about my 1999 E300 TD:

I'm having the delivery seals replaced on top of the IP and all the fuel lines and o rings too since the parts were so cheap and only about .5 hours labor to putr them in. Anyway, the intake manifold has to come off to do the job so the mechanic will have easy access to the glow plugs. Going to cost me about $150 + maybe 30 - 60 minutes labor to replace the GP IF everything goes as planned. I am selling the car in about a month because I'm getting a company car. What do you think - if the glow plugs come out easily and are brand new with anti-seize - is it going to add any substantial value to the car when it goes back on the auction block?

BTW, mechanic says if they're working - he wouldn't recommend pulling them... but that if I want him to do it - he isn't too concerned that he'll break one off either.

Opinions?

Since you are selling the car in a month:

DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH THEM!!!

If they are original one will probably snap, and then you will be yanking the head. But the next owner will love you!

No value will be added to the car, unless someone who realy knows 606's buys it. 99.9% of the buyers don't care.

When I got my '98 2+ years ago the first thing I did was change all of the PM items and the GP's. I was very lucky and given the hindsight I now have I would not have tempted fate like that had I known then what I know now. Leave well enough alone. Don't touch them. I only plan on replacing mine on a case by case basis from here on out...in other words - if one goes out I will change it but leave the others be...it is just not worth risking making so much more work by trying to be super-diligent.

Lets see what we have here. An owner that is going to sell the car in a month and he asks if he should do more than necessary. Hmmmm. I'm going to say "No" unless it is to your best buddy, the Out-Laws (you have to see them at family gatherings) or you have a buyer already that will pay the extra for it.

Aklim - no, no and no. Just thought maybe it would add some value to the car... probably not - certaily not enough to justify the risk I guess.

Nope. No value added to the car as far as most people go.

No need to do it. No value in doing it.

Snap out of it, relax and move on.

Used is sold As-Is unless expressed otherwise. If the buyer of said auto is informed, they'll be well versed with the issue at hand with the 606.
